Christ Church is a relatively modern church, with a regular congregation of around 30 people. We’re on the Kingston Road, about half-way between Worple Road and Edinburgh Drive (postcode TW18 1DP). We aim to extend a warm welcome to regulars and newcomers alike, and we try our best to ensure that nobody feels like a stranger. We have our own car park, toilets in the main church building, and wheelchair access is available.
Our main service takes place at 9:30am each Sunday.
Christ Church started a new family worship service in September 2015 and it has continued to grow and develop. Starting at 9.30am and lasting about an hour it brings together children and adults of all ages for a relaxed and informal time, characterised by a friendly welcome, contemporary music, opportunity for personal prayer and a relevant bible-based talk.
You don’t have to fit a particular mould to come along – whether you’re coming with children or on your own, as someone living locally or visiting the area, looking to join or to visit just once, you will find a friendly welcome.
Refreshments are available after every service, and we encourage you to join us for a hot drink and a chat.
Our current building dates back to 1962, and is a very special space for worship, particularly when the sunlight floods in through the stained glass during the summer. There has been a church on the site since 1935, and the old church building is still in active use as our church hall, where we run a wide range of community activities, including luncheons, bridge and Scrabble teas. We are the most recent addition to the Staines Parish of churches, having been an independent parish until 2005.
