Lighting upgrades for a brighter future at St Peters Church Hall
St Peters Church Hall, at the heart of Staines-upon-Thames, would like to encourage greater membership and go green!
Our energy efficiency project is being carried out in phases. The first phase is to address the lights, which are failing and require extensive maintenance work. We would love for these to be upgraded to energy efficient LED lighting.
Our hall is underutilised and this is partly due to the poor lighting. Costs for maintenance of lighting are high due to regular failure of lamps and fixtures. The perception of poor facilities has been identified as a significant barrier for new group users. The difference in the lighting levels will make a considerable difference to the learning environment for the nursery school children and create a warmer and welcoming feel for the Daybreak Respite users.
Why you should vote for us
The lighting upgrade will reduce the consumption of electricity and monthly energy bills. The money saved will provide a budget to spend on other community work, raise energy efficiency awareness and reduce CO2 emissions benefiting the whole of Staines-upon-Thames.
With the M&S Energy Fund we will be able to replace all of the lighting in the hall. Without the fund it would take us several years to replace and upgrade the lighting.
”We need more of a warmer feel in the church hall. It feels dark and dull and lacks warmth. We want to see and feel brighter, warmer and encourage new membership of the hall…..make new friends.”
